Joe C. Tai, Ph.D.

 

Dr. Tai focuses his practice on patent procurement, strategy, counseling, and litigation for U.S. and international companies.

Dr. Tai is admitted to practice law in California and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.  Dr. Tai is fluent in English and native in Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese.

Dr. Tai sits on the Board of Directors for the Chinese Institute of Engineers (CIE/USA-SF) and is the Vice President of Chinese American Renewable Energy Society (CARES).  Dr. Tai is also the Founder and President of Tainnovation LLC. He is the co-Founder and President of Tai & Tseng Investments LLC, Dingware Inc., and VP of Business Development of Veloctron LLC (Nano/Micro Structured Biomaterial Company).

Dr. Tai received his Juris Doctorate from the School of Law of Golden Gate University in San Francisco, California, U.S.  He received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California, Davis in Davis, California, U.S.  He received his M.S. in Inorganic and Material Chemistry and his B.S. in Chemistry from Catholic Fu-Jen University in Taipei Taiwan.

INVENTIONS & PATENTS

Dr. Tai has successfully invented, patented, manufactured, commercialized some of his inventions. His inventions include Dingware, Drinkin’ Duck, Solar Jr., Solar Disco, and Never-Miss-A-Pill. Drinkin’ Duck and Solar Jr. received two invention Gold Medals (Best Food & Beverage Device and Best Advertising Device) at 2011 INPEX invention show (Pittsburgh, U.S.).
