Associate in the law firm from December 2005 to present. Experience includes preparing and prosecuting patent applications, evaluating inventions for patentability and conducting prior art searches. Admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

TECHNICAL CONSULTANT May 2003 – December 2005 Experience includes preparing and prosecuting patent applications including U.S. and Foreign Applications.

TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE

FIRMWARE DEVELOPMENT March 2002 – July 2002
Firmware Development for Excelstor in Longmont, Colorado. Created firmware to utilize serial ports on the r/w channel, preamp, and spindle motor. Debugged hardware issues ranging from a malfunctioning preamp to servo timing issues. Ported servo track writer software from DOS to Linux.

SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT July 2000 – November 2001
Software Development for Sun Microsystems-Advanced Array Development in Newark, California. Modified and documented Solaris driver for ATA disk drives. Developed an administration daemon, tool, and library for an innovative DAS system. Created performance testing software for Solaris and ChorusOS.

SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT June 1999 – August 1999
Software Development Bell Helicopter in Hurst, Texas. Lead a three-person team in designing an efficient interface to internal databases. Eliminated expensive time-wasting paperwork for the entire shipping department. Created central location for accessing shipping and customer information.

SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT May 1998 – August 1998
Software Development, Beckman Institute, in Champaign, Illinois. Documented complex 3D imaging tool’s C++ code to create an extensive help file. Designed and implemented C++ tool to convert large image datasets to VRML. Developed Lua scripts to interact with National Instruments’ GPIB device.
